I am a local from Alexandria and Gothenburg. I am the founder and producer of Mind the Gap.
I am working at the National Museums of World Culture (as a projects manager and coordinator of the Anna Lindh Foundation network in Sweden.
I believe in the magical power of storytelling to build human bridges between cultures.
Basem is a Gothenburg-based Syrian filmmaker and photographer. He produced and directed multiple short films, documentaries and music videos. Some of his work includes environmental sustainability and cultural integration documentaries, refugees fundraising music-video with Action-aid in the UK in addition to several commercial projects. He filmed the ArtGora stories in Riga and created the visual them for the virtual edition stories.
Kariem Saleh is an Egyptian photographer, filmmaker and director who started his career in the modern plastic arts field as a sculptor. He is well-known for his photography angles and colours. He is a renowned photographer of musical events in Egypt and the Middle East. He also created and directed music video clips. Kariem directed the stories from the creative residencies in Lebanon and Egypt, and the workshop in Amman. He also filmed the play The Misfits.
Amer is a Gothenburg-based Art Director, Photographer and Filmmaker. He is specialised in still and moving content production for online platforms and social media. For several years, he has been producing national-wide campaigns on women rights and rights of children for United Nations.
Amer filmed the story of Kristina Issa.
Nova Faham is a writer/film producer who spends a little too much time wondering about things. Born in one country, raised in another, lived in a few more before ending up getting smuggled to Sweden, where he started his production company Rivernova Films.
With Chester (seen in photo on the left) as his creative director, Nova was the filmmaker that created the visual theme/style for the short films of the original launch of Mind The Gap in Gothenburg.
