"We humanise what is going on in the world and in ourselves only by speaking of it, and in the course of speaking of it, we learn to be human."
Hannah Arendt
From 14 to 21 February 2020, we had our first creative residency in Egypt in collaboration with Elmadina for Performing and Digital Arts. The residency brought together 10 participants from the creative industry who shared their stories and personal experiences with gender inequality. We had storytelling workshops, creative writing, theatre and drama therapy exercises, and leisure activities to enjoy the beautiful Egyptian oasis, Siwa.
The residency took place in Siwa Oasis and concluded with a public show KOL DA KAN LEIH (why did it all happen?) at the Greek Cultural Centre on 20 and 21 February 2020. The show was directed by Ahmed Saleh (Elmadina Arts).
